Kaffemik

Kaffemik can be said to be a sort of Greenlandic "Open House". As the Greenlandic people are very friendly and open, they like to have company around, and Kaffemik revolves around exactly this. Guests sit down in the living room of an ordinary Greenlander´s house, enjoying coffee and talking with the people who live there. Amongst the Greenlandic people, Kaffemiks are held when there´s something to celebrate, like birthdays, holidays, a christening, etc. One of the most authentic and local experiences to be had in Greenland, this is one you don´t want to miss!
