Mono Norway

Upon landing in Gardermoen Airport, the group will start off with a city tour of Oslo. This will include visits to Aker Brygge, City Hall Square and Karl Johan Street. The group will then visit Vigelandsparken, which is the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist, Gustav Vigeland. A visit to the Viking Ship Museum will also be included. Here, the group has a chance to learn more about the ancient Viking culture of Norway, as well as the vessels they used for transport.

This day will be taken up by the journey from Oslo via Geilo to Lofthus by long distance coach. The group will have a photo stop at Voringfoss, a waterfall which has a major drop of an astonishing 163 meters. Along the way, the group will experience amazing views of the valleys and fjords that they pass, ending their journey for the day at the shores of the Hardangerfjord.

After breakfast, the group will drive from Lofthus towards Bergen. On the way, they will cross the Hardangerfjord via the Hardanger Bridge, which is the largest suspension bridge in Norway.

Upon arrival in Bergen, the group will go for a city tour, visiting the UNESCO World Heritage old wharf, Bryggen, along with the Fish Market of Bergen. A return ticket for the funicular at Mt. Floien is also included in the tour. Here, the group will have a great view over Bergen.

The group will first drive from Bergen to the city of Voss. From here, the journey continues by the scenic train route known as Flamsbana, which offers fantastic views of the Norwegian nature. After the group has arrived in Flam, they will embark on a cruise of the Sognefjord, which is the largest fjord in Norway, with a total inland stretch of 205 kilometers. After this, the group will continue towards Balestrand.

After breakfast, today´s first stop on the tour is Fjaerland, where the group will visit the Norwegian Glacier Museum. Here, it is possible to learn more about the physical properties of glaciers, and how they have helped shape the Norwegian landscape.

Next, the group will set off for Briksdalsbre, from where an open car excursion to the Briksdal Glacier will be arranged.

Upon leaving Loen after breakfast, the group will first head to the Geiranger Fjord, where a fjord cruise from Hellesylt to Geiranger is arranged.

Next, the group will set off towards Andalsnes. On the way, they will drive on the dramatic roads known as Eagle Road and Trollstigen, which are famous for their abundance of hairpin turns and steep drop-offs. There will be several photo opportunities along the way. From Andalsnes, the group will continue towards the Olympic city of Lillehammer.

After breakfast, the group will go on an orientation tour of Lillehammer, which hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics. Entrance to the Maihaugen Open Air museum is included, along with a visit to the Olympic park. Here, the group can try the chairlift, and visit the Olympic ski jump tower. A coach will then take the group from Lillehammer towards Oslo.

The group will be transferred to Gardermoen Airport in the morning, and board their flight home.
