Polar Explorer Icebreaker

Polar Explorer Icebreaker is a unique vessel designed to navigate through frozen waters. Unlike other ships, it features a specially reinforced hull to withstand the pressure of ice, an ice-clearing shape to cut a channel through the frozen sea, and immense power to push through sea ice.
Built in 1976 in Germany, the Polar Explorer icebreaker originally served as an ice-class, anchor-handling, tug, and supply vessel. It has towed large barges globally, from Norway to Brazil, handled anchors for oil rigs in the Arctic Ocean, and delivered essential supplies like water and food to crews on oil rigs.
The Polar Explorer measures 78 meters in length, 14 meters in width, and 22 meters in height, with seven decks. It can navigate waters with a minimum depth of 5 meters. During the cruise, there will be a stop for approximately one hour, allowing passengers to swim in survival suits in the freezing cold sea water. This activity is completely safe and does not require any swimming ability.
