Paddle on Lake Ferguson in the back country of Greenland and witness the overwhelming beauty of the Greenlandic nature up close the traditional way and the possibility for seeing the local muskox. Our afternoon tours are special, the midday sun also makes the nature shiny as we often are the only ones out on the water at this time. During the tour, your guide will take photos of you, while you paddle in this incredible scenery. The photos are included in the price and will be ready for download shortly after the tour. Public Tour.

Northern Lights Tour by Bus (2 Hours)

Beginning our Northern Lights tour, we set off into the backcountry by bus, and quickly find ourselves in total darkness beneath Kangerlussuaq’s starry skies. After time spent with an eye to the heavens and hopefully witnessing Mother Nature’s impressive light display, we will return to our camp for a cozy evening, where our guide will share both scientific highlights as well as Greenlandic legends. Return transfer, northern light guide, warm drinks are included. Public Tour.

Guided Excursion to the Russel Glacier with BBQ Meal (5 Hours)

UNESCO World Heritage Site: The inland ice sheet is one of Greenland’s biggest attractions. Our adventure to the area’s most remarkable glacier requires transport via a tundra coach, a 4WD vehicle, which is designed to take on the rocky, changeable terrain and gravel roads. On the way, we will be on the lookout for wildlife, such as reindeer and musk oxen, and listen to stories from our guide about the area’s history. Return transfer, experienced English speaking guide, 1 hour on the glacier, BBQ meal are included. Public Tour.

Boat & Hike the Fjord Kangerlussuaq

Our journey first beings with a short drive to the harbor, where our boat will be waiting. With a maximum capacity of 12 passengers, this boat gives us the opportunity to explore the fjord’s open-water along the beautiful coastline. With our guide on board, the boat moves steadfastly onto Kangerlussuaq Fjord, where the waters shimmer in a beautiful turquoise blue. Upon arriving to our new vantage point, time is available for you to explore the area and nature lovers and walking enthusiasts might meander further to a 500-meter high mountain peak, which lies approximately 3 kilometers away. Public Tour.

Dog Sledding Tour (04 Hours)

The sled team will lead you over the fjord to enjoy the magnificent nature, as well as the love these dogs have for pulling the sled across the frozen terrain. Sled dogs work as a team with a clear hierarchy, where the driver is head of the pack. To begin, the driver will lead the team halfway, and then provide a lesson on how to control and care for the dogs. Before the excursion is over, you will have a chance to drive the sled and lead the team.

Hiking to Carnet Rock (08 Hours)

This tour begins with a drive (by car or bus) to the top of Tacan, a mountain shaped by the last ice age. From Tacan, we will circle the Great Salt Lake. Most of the walk is descending, but a few hill climbs should be expected. After 2.5 to 3 hours, we will arrive to Garnet Rock. During our quest for jewels, there will be time to pause and enjoy lunch. After we explored the garnet-rich rock, our journey will return along the shores of Lake Ferguson. After making our way to the lake’s end, we will be picked by and driven back to Kangerlussuaq. Returan transfer, local guide are included. Public Tour.

It is possible by boat to get very close to the glacier and experience huge pieces of ice breaking off. The sounds are enormous and the sight of the icebergs, crashing into the water, is breathtaking. The length of the boat trip to and from the glacier can last between 2 - 5 hours each way. It depends on the boat used the given day. Boat trip to the Calving glacier and back with guide, cold lunch on board, and return transfer are included.
